Step into the offbeat world of Love, Shakespeare, where seasoned Portland comedians attempt something audacious: performing a fully improvised Elizabethan play based on your suggestions! Each show is an unpredictable tribute to Shakespeare's comedy, filled with ridiculous twists and spontaneous delights. Follow a merry band of players – former buddies of the great Will himself – as they unravel one of the Bard's “unfinished” gems. Good William Shakespeare once was of our band.
Three summers spent we all in play pretend
And acting out new works of his skilled hand.
When he untimely left our merry group
‘Twas with sad heart and much apology.
As recompense, entrusted to our troupe
A score of uncompleted plays left he.
‘Tis one such play we shall attempt tonight
A story Shakespeare started but then quit,
For try his best he could not get it right.
I guess we'll see what we can make of it.
